A 4-12x50 with 99' FOV on 4x and 4" eye relief? What's the catch? Other than not so great build quality?

Having no experience with that exact scope - but knowing a bit about their other scopes, I would guess that no genius-level engineering was done by them to bend the laws of physics. 

Nikko Sterling is not known to make good scopes, I wouldn't put much on their marketing claims either.

I clicked around a bit. I'm thinking the vendor's web where I saw those stats has a mistake. Math, like you say, would seem to mean there's just no way. But maybe they could? That's the curious part.

I did see that some of there models are made in Japan. And they have a line designed by C-More, made in Japan.
