I have a Chiappa Alaskan in .44mag that's a repro of an 1892. Really nice little gun.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

It's not a Colt, but I saw the brochure for it and their other reproductions. I can't remember their name, but they make some cool stuff. |

THAT is the Chiappa Model 322! I want one! I had two Marlins in the old days....now older Marlins ( minus the safety ) are more expensive that these new guns from Italy! Here's a case colored one! Here's one like the Mountie! |

Two of my friends had Marlin 39As. Both had 4X scopes as I remember. Anyway, one had a Busnell with a BDC. We could hit soda cans at 200yds on a nice day. I wanted one until the safety button came out, but they have always been just out of my price range.

I bought a 1977 Marlin 39A.....immaculate!!!! in 2011 for $500!!!!!!! I was broke in 2012 and sold it to a guy in TASMANIA!!!! ( don't laugh!! Honest!!! ) I sent the rifle to HIGH BRIDGE GUN AND PAWN SHOP in San Francisco to export it to him! They were the LAST Gun Store in San Francisco until the government ran them out of business!
Anyway....it's gone....and so is HIGH BRIDGE GUNS and PAWN!!! So.....I NEED (!!!) a Chiappa 22 rifle.....!!! |

The RS had a straighter, higher comb and a beefier stock....although the length of pull was still too short...but I always liked them....and they are rarer....and they were drilled and tapped years before 1957 when the rest of them were drilled....
....but yes I like the schnable.....
