Hi All,
I'm not up on my scopes, been shooting RDS for a long time. I have a .223 I want to be a DMR and need to choose a scope for that role, and keep ikeep it under $500 if I can find what I need for $250, then score - don't want to spend anymore than I need to get job done. What I need: - Will reliably hold zero - Decent BDC (mil dot or mead are fine) with crosshairs (not dots or chevrons) - 12-15x max magnification - Decent glass - Would love a great eye box What I don't need: - Extra frills of any kind - Do not want illumination - Doesn't have to be 30mm, etched reticle or FFP I've been looking at the Leupold Mark AR. Any different recommendations or cheaper alternatives?[ |

I think that ultimately that Leupold you are looking at is going to be the best option.
There is one other alternative that comes to mind from Weaver, their 3-12X42 Grand Slam. https://swfa.com/weaver-3-12x42-grand-slam-rifle-scope-3.html |

I was going to respond "it doesn't exist" then decided to leave it alone and let someone else respond. Which Skylar did - several months after the fact. For DMR-type shooting, I still fall back on my SS3-9.

There were several threads over the last several months that went unaddressed. While peroosing through the OT, I figured, I would simply vocalize an opinion. Ilya had a noteworthy suggestion too.

Yeah, I do not know how I missed it originally. Must have been on travel.

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.
It is the same when you are stupid. |
