I got a 3-9x40 BDC Buckmaster 2 for 100 to my door. So... thats what we got.
The gun fits him and my oldest son fine. It's not that heavy. And all our shooting will be out of a shooting house with a rest, so they should be good. Once scope gets here and I get it mounted, then we have to head to the range and sight it in and see how it does. |

I bought a Browning x-bolt Micro Midas in .243 for my daughter years ago, put on a Kahles CL 2-7x36 and Timney to finish it off. The rifle came with a 50% off rebate to purchase a new (larger) stock when she got older. Well she graduated to a 7mm.08 shorty after so I never got the new stock. Called Browning the other day and they still run this program, my cost for a new x-bolt stock is $180, might still do it, it's a tad short for me. Edited by mike650 - August/23/2018 at 12:17 |

Sweet rifles mike. On the stock, or you could just get one of these. https://mcmillanusa.com/product/game-scout-bolt/

No pics yet. I had to go buy a new base and set of rings, since the scope that came on the savage has more space between the front bell compared to the Nikon. So its mounted low. I used a weaver base that is basically picitiny and their rings.
