Folks, Our friend Graham (SVT_Tactical) lives in the affected flooding area caused by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Florence. He has sustained some property damage, but most importantly, he and his family are safe. Some of his friends lost everything they own in the flooding. Graham has been very busy assisting local flood victims. Please keep Graham, his family, and everyone living in the affected area in your prayers during this difficult time. |

Thanks guys. Just got a chance to check in.
I did loose some possession from flooding but nothing that cant be replaced. My work shed i use for car repairs flooded and the big lost my mustang project.... car was over the hood in water... motor and transmission I had for that car was also in that shed so they are gone beyond repair both completely submerged. Tools, air compressors, parts. Had a couple guns in there that were in water for a couple days before I could get them out. House had minimal damage, few shingles but no leaks. Some trees down and some minor damage to another shed from flying debris
But like Ted said I was lucky compared to others. My best friends lost everything. Everything. Raising money for him now. y'all watch out for some guns for sale soon. I'll be selling everything I have that aint sentimental to help him out. Even after he lost it all he and I have been out rescuing folks from flood waters daily..... hard to imagine, loose everything and later that day out rescuing people and being so concerned about others but he truly is that type of guy and has the biggest heart. Would give him the shirt off my back but it don't fit apparently lol |

OMG! G I'm glad you and your family are OK. Sucks about the Mustang, but you probably didn't need that project anyway.
Really sorry about your friend; loosing everything has got to be traumatic. What can we do?

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

I seen more water moccasins than I've ever seen in my life combined since the storm.... several tried to get into the boat with us to find dry ground... I persuaded them against that.

That says a lot for the character of your friend, G. But it also says a lot about your character as well! You too have a big heart, and I have no doubt if you were in his shoes, you would still be out helping others too. Events like these brings out the worst and, thankfully, the very best in humanity. Thank you for logging another check mark in the "best" column, buddy! I hope everything gets back to normal for you guys as soon as possible!

Thanks for posting those photos. That looks very familiar to what we saw in the Houston area last year during Hurricane Harvey.
