Picked up a used one. I've had it less than a week and it's already well on it's way to becoming one of my all time favorite hand guns. I wish I had bought one ages ago.

They are good guns. Sigs are good platforms. Only sigs I've found I didn't like have been some of their 1911's

First hand gun I ever bought was a P226 in 9mm. Man do I miss that gun!

I tried to like Sig DA/SA, but I have never been able to warm up to double/single action triggers. I hate the fact that you have to learn two separate trigger pulls. Personally just don't see the point when there are some many other options where the trigger pull is the same every single time. No matter how hard you try you almost always have two groups on your target. The first shot which is low, then all the others a bit higher. Few people spend the time and money to master it. But on the other hand, its nice we have lots of choices.

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

Sig P226 is a classic, time-proven design that has earned its well-deserved praise. Like all of the "classic series" alloy frame Sigs, they are very reliable, well-made, and usually shoot well. Though I tend to agree with ST on the DA/SA trigger systems, Whenever I'm shooting one of my DA/SA Sigs, I tend to cock the hammer as I'm presenting the pistol on my first round out of a de-cocked, "condition 2" Sig. These days, striker fired pistols are pretty much all I carry anymore. Nevertheless, I still love my Sigs.

Never carried my P226 but I used to find when we did draw from holster comps it was not a time consuming or difficult operation to thumb the hammer back as the pistol was coming up. Scrummy

The only issue I have with mine is the same issue I have with just about all hand guns. It's my short stubby fingers. Doesn't look to be too hard a job to fix on my 226. Pricey but easier.

Got a 226 about 15 years ago and it is a sweet shooting pistol.

Really liked mine, felt and shot great. Sold it, never warmed up to the "Kali" loaded chamber indicator. |

You can't go wrong with a 226.
I love my 228. It is a but plumper than the G19. But it shoots so darn good.....

I have the same issue with pretty much any handgun. My solution with my P series Sigs is Hogue G10 grips and a Gray Guns intermediate trigger. I used to use the Sig short reach trigger, but I like the GG intermediate trigger much better.

Sig custom shop offers service packages to enhance your pistol, quick turn around too. When I did mine they had a discount promo going. |

I put a set of E2 grips on it and that helped. I also have a GrayGuns Dual adjustable curved trigger and Short Reset trigger kit on the way.
