My first car was a 1972 Gran Torino. My dad bought it for me so I could take my brother and sister to school and stop taking the bus. What a great car. It is the only "old car" I have ever owned. One of the last ones they ever made. And I'd love to drive it again. But my dad was looking for Trucks for Sale. We have a massive piece of land on which my father does a profitable business. So we were to sell my favorite car. But he said he would repurchase it soon. Hopefully, that will happen in the near future.

Years ago when we moved to the farm Dad had a 1954 Oldsmobile 98 four door. It was Brown and White. It had green interior. The interior was like a living room. |

Back in the Sixties Eduardo had use of a 1954 Dodge Coronet Hemi-V8....he once backed into a stone wall fence with it. I swear to God that Eduardo got out of the car to see if he had harmed the stone wall!!! |

"Eduardo once got that Dodge stuck in the mud in some farmer's cornfield fooling around with some girls and had to walk up to the farmer's house and ask him if he couldn't pull him out with his tractor..." I swear to God.... |

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

My dad traded it in on a brand new 1956 Ford Custom (white). A few weeks later he went back to the Ford dealer to see if he couldn't trade it back for the Buick but it was already sold! So we had the Ford for four years. |

Years later, on the farm, Dad bought a used 1957 Ford Ranchero....just like this, blue and white. After it blew TWO transmissions we got rid of it and Dad never bought another Ford. |

In 1992 I bought a used 1985 Ford 150 4X4...300 Cubic inch six cylinder. The engine blew and had to be rebuilt. Later on THAT ONE blew and I got a new short block put in. I went thru a lot of mud with that truck. I bought it in Quitman, Texas at the Ford dealer and eventually it wound up on the farm in Kansas....I had it for eleven years and then bought my Dodge Dakota. It was still there on the farm when I got divorced. |

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4....4.9 L Magnum V8. I've had it 19 years! My interior is black. Its AWD. I can PUT IT in 4 wheel, too. I have a matching silver fiberglass shell on the back. I've got Firestones on it right now. I've had Goodyear Wranglers and Cooper SSTs.... Umm....after 19 years I had to buy a couple of batteries, a couple sets of tires, a couple of brake jobs, ONE $2.50 light bulb ( after 19 years!) and a power steering pump. Oh, yeah! I had to do TWO of those bloody window regulator up-and-down things! Best truck I ever had. |

I think I'd trade my F250 for a good M37. If it had a winter kit, and a steel top, it would almost be a given.
