We had a state representative propose a bill that would require all men to have a vasectomy at age 50 or if they father 3 children, whichever comes first. At their expense.

Could you imagine? The police come knocking at your door with a warrant to take you to a urologist on your birthday or the day you father your 3rd child?

That's crazy!

You may have missed the point of that Bill.
It was meant to point out that if you find absurd that a female lawmaker proposes a bill that imposes on males and their bodies and their seed, perhaps you should find it absurd that male lawmakers are adopting laws that impose on women and what they should do with their eggs and their bodies.

The fact that lawmakers would propose such laws on either sex leads me to believe that their self importance and superior intelligence allows them to believe they are more capable of running our lives than we are. After all, they are just trying to make a more perfect society for their/our benefit.
I think that's why the Founding Fathers gave us the right to vote, and the right to keep and bare arms, but if you don't pay attention you will lose one of those rights, and when you lose one of them, you lose all of them. Then you will be really free to do what you are told.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

What the bill was protesting was the ability of women to use abortion as a form of birth control in a bill passed earlier that made that illegal.

Let me ask you a question. If I go and kill a pregnant woman, I can be charged with a double murder. Yet if she doesn't want the child she is carrying, she can legally kill it with no repercussion.

Why is that?

And why is it the only people in favor of abortion are people who haven't been aborted?
