Hey guys! I'm looking for a target shooting scope for a precision rimfire shooting at mostly 100m but should be also capable of reaching out too 300m.
Some of the features that would be nice to have:
MIL/MIL SFP (For finer aiming point at max. magnification) max. 50mm Objective Zero Stop is not a must, but it should track reliably >30mm main tube parallax down to 25m max. magnification at least 16x
I did a little bit of research and found the Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50 MOA2 SFP and the Element optics Helix 6-24x50 MRAD SFP. In terms of features the element optics sound quite interesting but I have absolutely no experience with that brand. I already own a Sightron S-Tac 3-16x42 and like it. Only downside to me is that it is MOA/MOA. How do the 2 scopes compare to each other? If the sightron is better in terms of glass and turrets I would definitely go for another sightron even tho it's MOA.
I'm also open to other suggestions if you have any! But keep in mind brands like for example arken are not available here in europe as far as I saw.
Thanks in advance! |

Sorry I missed this. The S-TAC 3-16x42 is available in MIL/MIL and has a zero stop.

Sightron has 70 MOA total adjustment which can be important with the trajectory that a 22 has. I set up a 16x Super Sniper on a 22 with Kenton knobs to adjust for distance from 100 out but ultimately that was not satisfactory because the fixed power being that high made is useless up close for hunting but it was fine for shooting paper. I think the variable Sightron is a good choice. You might look at the 6-24 also but it's FFP with 80 MOA internal adjustment. 6x is pretty useable up close. Here is the Mil Mil version but not in stock Buy Sightron 6-24x50 SIII 30mm Riflescopes at SWFA.com - SWFA Outdoors
