I am so envious. That last pic with all the hardware, optics and such must have cost a bundle. With that camo on the trailer do you use this for hunting, too.

The trailer was made for $100.00 indcluding the homemade tiltable benchrest the optics are Nightforce and of course the rifle is Richards custom 300 WSM with his undertaker stock. He builds all of his own stocks and wieghts them according to use . Richard Franklin has made some top bench rest rifles he is also a professional varmint hunter in his spare time clearing fields of ground hogs for farmers etc.

I will race everybody with my 30-378 Wby. Mag. 180 grain Nosler BT, in Velocity and Energy to 1000 yards. Sweetness. I love it! Any ballistics needed, let me know. CPC loads an even hotter shell, but I still prefer the factory ammo, more accurate. Maybe I should go with a 6.5-300Wby that I saw loaded on Long range hunter (.com}. Sweetness! I love those fast movers, like a F-16 jet.

Actually, I was just reading on the subject and the game laws require a .375 and up only on Cape Buffalo and larger animals. But, for smaller game, as the articles I read, any rifle that we use here for shooting deer would be adequate. I hope I was not reading out of date material, but the samething was said on probably 10 different safari websites. Edited by Dolphin |
