I don't really have anything against Vortex.  They are more a "fad of the moment" scope to me.  They are reasonable scopes, but there are others in the price range and quality range that "fit the bill" for me.

As for that Fiances Marlin/Glenfield 60 beauty, I'd put a Zeiss or a March on it... but that's just me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a bargain scope and have some that have performed VERY well.  However, you put together some rifles that SCREAM " SEE ME" and to me the scopes don't match.  Yes they will probably be "functional".

Beautiful rifles...

I am just more along the lines of ok I have a 22lr its a 100 yard gun for plinking. I can get a fully functioning scope for that range that will cost me not so much or I can spend 800 on a scope for shooting at targets that I can still see with my eyes at that range with open sights. I really dont see the purpose in putting 500+ dollar scopes on guns that operate primarily inside of 100 yards when I can put that money into the trigger or the bolt or the stock and out-shoot the guy that thought he needed that expensive scope. Im stingy in some areas haha But if you wanna buy some of our stuff Ill throw a Zeiss on there in a heartbeat Wink
Mausers forever

That was great but can you do it again??

Pretty?  Well that's better than cute.   LOL

Actually it's very compact if you consider a LOP of 12 1/4" and a 20"bbl.  The forend being shortened 3" makes the bbl look longer I think.  It's a 9.3x62mm.

If I throwed one of those in the truck to go squirrel hunting my wife would have a major come-apart! They would be center pieces of the interior design of the house! Very BEAUTIFUL rifles Lile!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

The .17 has taken plenty of Squirrels, PD's, Armadillos and Opossums.

Budperm As far as the ammunition goes, .22's are all over the house. There are 10 other 22's, pistols and rifles. That shouldn't be a problem.

Both of the Twins shoot as good as they look.
