Interesting. My local Cooper dealer has always told me they are fired at 100yds. But I find the 50yd more plausible since they don't specify a distance. |

Coopers Guarantee
(The now famous 1/2" at 100 yards Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc. accuracy guarantee for center fire rifles began in 1998 with the introduction of the “Varminter” in Models 21 and 22. Soon after, the Montana Varminter became an instant classic.) Copy from Coopers website. This 1/2' is interpolated from the 50 Yard target. |

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow Now the rules have changed again. |

The Ruger brothers. GP100 is a pleasure to shoot with just about any load. The SP101 has a slightly better trigger but is as bit of a bear with full house .357 mag loads.

Great looking pair.
A single action Ruger of some sort is definitely in my not too distant future. Kind of leaning towards one in .45 Colt.

Photo of my first deer rifle, 700ADL .243 Win my Dad bought for me in 1964 at Foleys in Houston for $125. Still shoots well. Had it glass bedded and the crown recut. Lots of good memories hunting with my father wrapped up in that rifle.

The best guns are the ones with great family memories. The 44mag revolver is one of the ones for me. Lots of memories of me and dad at the range.

Picked up a used Winchester 70 Classic Super Grade 3 on Tuesday, .30-06. My first Winchester and I am lovin it so far. Waiting on some Talley's to come in, so I went ahead and used existing Burris bases w/Luepold rings. Put a SB 3-12X42 #A7 on it and sighted it in Wednesday. Took it hunting yesterday evening and broke it in! |

Beautiful rifle and outstanding "first hunt" results. Good on ya… Congratulations on the find and the hunt… certainly a good start for Christmas presents...
