OK I figured out how to post pics but I can't type any words on the same post.....strange. Well you mentioned moose in the trees so I thought I'd post a moose in the wires. Seems they were stringing cables in Alaska during the moose rut and this old boy decided to wrassle with the cable as they were winching it up....they felt the extra weight so a truck drove down the lines to see what they were caught on. Heres a moose swinging off the cable and pretty mad.......they lowered him down and waited for him to untangle before pulling it back up. See how deranged my mind is......Cyborg says antlers in the treetop...who goosed the moose........ and I thought of this pic right away.....

In 100, 200, & 300 yard BR, flatbase bullets dominate by far. When shooting over 600 yards, I can't say I ever seen anybody shooting flat base. (with much accuracy) That is where the boat tails, and VLD's rule.

I doubt the flame gets wedged.  Maybe the partially burned powder kernals get wedged between the bullet and bore for a while and increase abrasion.  But measurably?  Who knows?
