FWIW – had a good customer service experience with Sightron I thought I’d share.  On the recommendations here, I bought a Sightron S-III.  It is great, works well, and so when a local Gander Mtn was blowing out SII 3x9s – I bought the last one and stuck it on a shelf.

I recently mounted it on a project 8 x 57 I completed and working up loads, began to suspect a tracking problem.  Well… I called Sightron on Thursday for instructions on what to do.  I spoke with an efficient and friendly woman and sent the scope back as she directed.  That was last Thursday.  Today, I received a brand-new scope!  Can’t ask for better than that.  I certainly appreciate the company’s prompt response and effective solution.

Good to hear that it is possible to be "an important customer" after a product is bought. That company deserves a lot of goodwill from shooters and sportsmen and sportswomen.

Glad to hear of your good service from sightron. If they had offered me that same service I would still have one of their scopes on my rifle. It always amazes me how different problems are dealt with so differently by the same company. That was all I wanted.....a quick replacement of a scope that wasn't working right out of the box. Glad it went well for you.
