gonna resurrect this old thread... still haven't got a scout scope yet.

Been looking at (on the web) Leatherwood scopes.  They have a few LER models.  What's the OT opinion of Leatherwood?  I've known the name for a while... but I always thought they were "cheapo" scopes, like Leapers, et al.

However, according to the scope rating thread, they are decent.

I'm still looking at the Nikon that Big Squeeze recommended, and also pistol scopes as koshkin suggested.  Just wondering about Leatherwood.  Thanks!

I've never seen Leatherwood's LER scopes, but their regular scopes were underwhelming.
