I am bringing this from the Worst shot thread hopeing for alittle more exposure. A while back I saw a Knight & Hale video where they had a gadget that attached to the bow and strapped to the hip/waist. It showed alot of promise for those with certain disabilities. I expected to see something on the market by now, but so far have not. Anybody seen what I'm talkin about? Or maybe know of something similar? It is designed to help stabilize your support arm for a more consistant set and shot.

In Montana, I don't think you are allowed to use that support unless you are disabled and have a permit.  The law states that the entire action of the shot must be performed by muscle power including stabilizing the bow.

Good point! If this arm keeps getting worse I'll have to do something anyway. I refuse to give up my bow. I saw one guy who learned to use his teeth and a special strap for a release. "Where there's a will, You know the rest.

If your arm does get too bad you can get a doctor evaluation and apply for a permit to use the rest.  Do you have a pic of it?  I am looking at rotator surgery in a couple months.  Hope that doesn't ruin my ability to use my bow.

Based on the people I know who have been there, you should be very pleased with the improvment. You may still have some limitations but not like you do now. I don't have pics because my problem is somehow due to facet injuries in my upper spine and neck. The meds are helping me cope with the pain but their efforts to promote recovery have caused more damage. Scary stuff!!! and I really hate it. I am not a do nothing kinda guy. But the less I do the less I hurt. Something gotta change.

God Will you prepare the way for his recovery and guide the understanding and skill of the doctors who will do this great work. In Jesus Name Amen.

Expect great things my friend and shield yourself from all negitive influences while waiting. You have what you say and you are what you believe. That's your part, it makes it easier for God to help.

Thanks for the prayer!  I am going to wait till hunting season is over till I look at surgery.  Till then I am wearing a shoulder brace for work to try to reduce any more damage and relieve the pain.  I try to stay away from the drugs.

Back to the support.  Are you going to try one out, or you just curious how they work?  I think there are two versions.  One that helps support the arm, and one that supports the bow itself.

I want to try one but My searches come up "0". I need a name or something, and I haven't seen anything in any of my supply catalogs. I don't buy hunt videos very often and usually just catch one now and then at the club house. I saw this a while back when we "briefly" had the hunt channel on cable. Don't have it now so I haven't kept up with the latest stuff.
I think the one I saw supported the arm because it didn't seem to be too restricting.

This might be the one you saw.

This might be legal in Montana since the draw and release is all done by full muscle power.

Man I was all excited! But that isn't the one I saw. Do you know of another one?
I hope to find the one that straps to the support arm and then to the hip/waist belt line.
