i just bought a new rifle (marlin 30-30 336w) and having trouble coming up with a good scope for it and also if i can use a ring high enough to use the o/u sights??????? |

It looks as though you are trying to cover all the bases. The problem with those high see-thru rings is that they are somewhat prone to movement. I personally don't like them, but they do serve a purpose. As far as a scope, I would stick with something small. Anything will work but cosmetics do matter. I do not know what you budget is so may I recommend a few; Leupold LEI 3-comm compact, Bushnell 731421 1.75-X (Cool Little Scope), or the Burris 200387 3-X Mini Scope. These three range from 149.95 to 339.99. Whatever scope you decide to get, don't skimp on the rings and bases. They are the foundation of the optical system. Kwik-Site makes what you want although we do not carry them. It is the best see thru set up for your gun. You will need a compact small scope as fireman mentioned to work on this set up. I would go with a Leupold 4x
