That's making the assumption that you (we) will not be one of the people making up that "more than 10%" unemployment statistic.

Low prices are only good for people who can take advantage of them.
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

That's the point lucznik.  Fewer people will be buying and that will bring prices down.  I hope you and I are among those able to do so.  Everybody will not be unemployed but more unfortunate folk are joining those ranks.

Lower sales may in this day of greed lead to higher prices. Due to the control of the bean counters needs to meet profit quotas. Todays world is not true capitalism. It is sourly contaminated with corporate greed. Then when the companies start to get too top heavy financially, they get a bailout from the Democratic congress.$$$$

Now the rules have changed again.

That's possible if the ammo manufacturers anticipated the slow-down.  Who knows?  Time will tell.  But as the news headlines continue to report rising unemployment to probable historic levels many shooters/hunters just won't buy anything (or cut way back) out of caution, whether or not they've lost a job.  That kind of drop in demand should bring down prices.

I wonder if I can get the Treasury/Fed to bail out my ammo budget seeing as how as a taxpayer I'm bailing out everybody else?  It seems only fair.

Kinda crazy to think all this Bail out money coudl pay off everyone's mortgage in America.  Man just think if everyone would go out and spend what they would pay on Mortgage  on everyday things and MORE ammo if they didn't have a Mortgage LOL.  That would sure boost the Economy

I sure am glad that I started reloading - I would hate to know that I had to pay what people are paying for factory ammo.  It would definitely affect some of my "plinking" sessions. Two Guns

I'll be interested to see if prices ever go down at the grocery store! There may be some lag time but so far only gas is cheaper. As for ammo or reloading components who knows? If the vendor that was mentioned is who I think it is, well I've learned to shop around. Last year they had Lapua .308 brass (100) for $67 while another vendor had it for $47. Right now, they're actually selling it for $61 on sale (or you can buy 500 for $66 a box if you don't do the math).

im sure things will level out, if the price of gas doesnt go back up! scrap metal is down so i expect the prices of ammo to drop too.

I agree, things will level off.
