Guys I'm pulling together a new prairie dog rig. I want to make sure I order the correct scope rings for this set-up the first time.  Its a Browning A-bolt varmint in a triple duce, I've got a Zeiss 6.5X20X50 Conquest scope on the way. The rifle already has Talley mounts on it and I would like to install the fixed Talley rings. I belive I've only have two chocies high or extra high rings. I could order the extra tall, but I really don't want to have the scope any higher then it needs to be. Any advice would be a big help   Thanks    2skeet

Merry Chrismas and welcome to the OT, I agree with keeping the rings as short as possible.  I also am very fond of talley rings and would stick to this setup if you can.

Call Gary Turner at Talley and he should have an answer. He is very easy to talk to and has always been helpful.
I think the high rings should be good, though.

Hey lucytuma, Thanks for the welcome. I hope you and your family are enjoying your Chrismas. Being a newbe to serious rifle shooting and doing my best to have the quility equipment that my pocket book can afford. I've found that you need to ask lots of questions and then listen very carefully to what the experienced shooters have to say. Thanks  2skeet
