what ranges do you expect to take most of your shots from?  You're in the price range of an 4200 Elite 3-9X40 as well as the Nikon Primos 3-9X40 w/BDC reticle.  If you can add $50, you could get a "New Sightron 3-9x42 SII Big Sky Riflescope"
take em!

That Primos would be excellent with the BDC for coyotes. Might be a bit big for bobcats, depending on the range. Still sounds like fun.

Sure. the 204 is good to at least 400yrds easy just use heavier bullets rather than the light ones or practice on paper first to get acquainted with what you are using ,or going to use, and if you are on a budget? yes the Burris 3x9x40 fx11 is a good scope.

You are very welcome ! between the two it would be close ,the Nikon may have an edge but you could not go wrong with the Burris....and the 40 gr. pills< you are good to go out to 400yrds.....if this is your first set up ,practice before taking animals. good fun!

I think the 4.5 - 14 FF II has a lot better glass than the 3-9. I have 2 of the 4.5-14s now and  they will resolve better than either of my VX-IIIs looking at a road sign at 1050 yds. The B-plex is right on to the tag they give you using both 30-06 150 and on the .223 55 grain. It is nice that Burris CS supply's the tags to shoot a wide variety of factory loads with the scope. Some of the others do not even furnish any numbers. They just say shoot in the circle, It will be close.
Welcome to the OT.

I have the .204 in a Browning with the Nikon BDC and I am happy as a clam with it.  I wouldn't hesitate to take a 400 yard shot.  I have taken Coyotes and bean field Chucks many times with it and my .223.. Also with a BDC Nikon.
