THANK YA.  I was told that Winchester had 12 Limited Edition Model 70's at the show and that they were stamped "Greensboro,SC". Anyone know anything about it?

That's where new Model 70's are now being produced, in the FN plant.  FN owns both Browning and Winchester.

My understanding is that when Winchester first fired back up they were producing the Mod 70 in Greensboro at the FN plant. But now they're being produced at the new plant in Columbia,SC. I was just wondering what was so special about the 12 limited edition rifles if anyone had seen them. No big deal. I hope to be seeing one soon!

FN is where John Browning went to produce his guns after the deal didn't work out with Remington, I think he was at FN in Belgium working on hi High Power when he died. Now both Browning and Winchester are owned by FN.
