A little less eye relief is exactly right.  These sights are most typically placed on AR-15 type weapons which do not recoil much.  Besides, the complaints about the T21 mostly centered on the following:
1) Eye relief varied by a large amount making consistent head position challenging
2) front objective bell limited mounting space
3) on AR-type weapons you had to use a mount with a very substantial extension over the handguard to accomodate the extra long eye relief of TR21 at low magnification (LaRue even made a special version of their SPR mount for TR21).
4) field of view was narrow

I think TR24 fixes all of those.

I am pretty sure you can use BAC with TR24.  The triangle is very bright.

Yes, all BAC is is keeping both eyes open while aiming and letting your dominant eye and brain take over through the scope once you settle onto the intended target.  All the triangle reticle Accupoints are intended for BAC use.

So if I want longer eye relief, I gotta get the TR21, that kinda sucks.

Chris, you have Tr21's in stock?

I guess I could buy now, or wait for the TR24 to come out, then the 21s ought'a go down in price as demand shrinks.

My 1-4x scope review thread. Lots of choices, lots of reviews.

Hunterco, I went back and re-read your initial post and, sorry to say, I missed the Leupold military discount part.

First and foremost, thank you for your service.

Next, Leuupold ain't a bad deal at military discounts.

And finally, let us know what you eventually get and how it goes.

I ended up buying both, what can I say. I think I like the Bushnell 4200 glass better, but the Mark 4 is pretty sweet too. Not sure if its worth twice the money right now.  The Mark4 SPR reticle is col but kind of busy. The german #4 illuminated dot on the 4200 is bold and clean. Its all personal preference I suppose.
