I'm looking for  a scope for my soon to be arriving CZ 452 Lux (.22lr).

I will be using it for paper punching, plinking, and silhouette at 25, 50 and 100 yds.  I have no plans to make this a bench-rest rifle nor to use it for hunting.

My budget is hard-limited to $250, and I'd like to stay below $225 possible.

Given the ranges involved, I'm thinking I'll need an AO, but I could be wrong.  I don't know if variable power is what I need or not.

Any input gratefully accepted.

Actually, I've got a bit of mad money to spend now, so forget about the budget in the first post.   I'm still not going to drop $1800 on a Swarovski or God knows how much on a Nightforce, but I don't think I need to either.

Burris Rimfire Series are excellent scopes and available in :

3-9x32

4-12x32

8-32x44

Leupold has three scopes in their E.F.R. class (Extended Focal Range) that would be the ultimate

3-9x33

6.5-20x40 Duplex

6.5-20x40 Dot

The best bang for your buck is the Simmons Pro-Air series

4x32

4-12x40

6-18x40

I'd just gotten my CZ 452 Luz/Walnut stock and have added the Burris 3x9x40 Fullfield with the Ballistic Plex mounted in Burris Signature rings. This is one sweet shooting gun/scope combination, especially with the compact spotting scope that comes with this scope. After breaking the barrel in, at 50 yards the ten shot group was so small you can only see 6 of the bullet marks. Using the Ballistic plex, I'm shooting blackbirds at 100 yards using the Burris recommended CCI minimag ammo for the Ballistic Plex calibration. It's dead on! Needless to say I'm VERY impressed with this combination. I honestly never expected this kind of consistancy and accuracy from a rimfire.

That is awesome and an excellent testimony for the Ballistic Plex reticle.  WOW...hitting black birds at 100 yards.
