It has been a while since I last posted about which scope I was going to get. Since it is all together now I figured I would let you in on what I have and how it shoots. I recieved my 6.5-20 Nikon monarch from SWFA two days before I could get my rifle. I used the price match feature to save some dough and ended up with one heck of a setup.   The base rifle is a remington VS in 223, I used a one peice leupold base and a set of medium burris signature rings to set my monarch on top. An outers 9-13 bipod and a butler creek rifle sling completed the setup. I had the shop I bought the rifle from install a third stud. I like that alot. I beleive the gun is easier to carry. At the range the gun sits on the bags better than any I have ever used before. It is very well mannered from the bench. The gun is also very accurate. With 55 grn ultramax remn and 55 grn blitzking federal premuim it will put three shots in .5 OTO with ease. It litteraly puts three holes into a little clover leaf at 100 yds. This setup handles distance well to. We set up clay pigeons at 240 yds rangefound and I proceeded to hit 40 clays with 42 rounds. The two misses being my fault. The scope is performing as advirtised. It is bright, clear and repeatable. I have cranked the adjustments up and down many times while figuring out the setup. I love the oversized turrets. They are the best I have used. My next step will be to find a place where I can try out to 300 yds with this gun. The 223 caliber is much easier to hit with at distance than the 17HMR ever was. I can connect with it at 240 but it takes more effort and trouble than it is worth after shooting 223 at that distance. All in all I am very happy with the gun. Thank you all for your time and opinions on the scope.

Thank you for the business and report on how it turned out.

The Bipod mounted to the third sling swivel stud really comes in handy.....I agree.  You should also consider an Accu-Shot Monopod.

Yes I would like to see a picture of your rifle and scope setup. I am interested in getting one of Remington's new varmint rifles sometime in the future. I will most likely get a .204 Ruger, I hear they are a hot little number with very minimal recoil.
