Hello everyone! First time on the site. Im getting my first spotting scope and Im wondering if its better to wear prescription glasses or not. I have a plus 2.5 in both eyes with a slight stigmatism in one eye. I like the new leupold 20x40 60mm HD because when I tried it at bass pro shops I could see great when wearing glasses. My buddy owns a gun shop and can get me a pentax pf 65ED 2 with zoom for $725 out the door. Just wanted to know if theres more eye fatigue after long glassing with magnified glasses? Sorry bout the long first post. Great to meet you all.

If the scopes "eye box" will handle it, should be fine. It is how that extra element of glass gets along with all those other elements of glass.
Leupold spotting scopes are sort of lack luster. For the money, Bushnell, Nikon and Pentax have sharper and brighter offerings.

Thanks for the input Silver. I wasnt sure if the extra 2.5 power of my glasses would bump ten power optics up to 12.5 power and cause more eye strain. I really like looking through the pentax PF 65ED II its just the FOV seems a bit small when I wear my glasses. Does a spotting scopes focus adjustment usually compensate for bad vision if you dont want to wear prescription glasses?

A spotting scope often has a diopter correction. It will not have an astigmatism correction.
