I have a 3-9x40 Nikon Omega (Nikoplex) on a TC Triumph I plan on sighting in today. I am going to sight in at 150yards as that will be my most common shot where I hunt and the deer cross. What power should I set her at--9????? Would that give me the best accuracy no matter what power I'm on? Also, is this Omega a first focal plane or second focal plane scope?? Help-----Bboy623

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

You can go ahead and sight it in at 9X if you wish, to give you the most precision when aiming at a small target, but you should also take a few shots at lower magnifications after you get zeroed in, to verify that your zero isn't moving around with magnification changes. If the scope is any good, you shouldn't be able to see a clear difference in Point of Impact between 3X and 9x, perhaps only slightly bigger groups when turned low.
I'm quite certain your scope is second focal plane.
