Might be interested to know that the Super Sniper 10x42M is having great success in UK Air Rifle competitions, although this side of the pond is sold under the importers name and known as EB (Edgar Brothers) Opti-Mate.

The competion is Hunter Field Target whcih is similar to FT but with limitations on equipment which I think make it more challenging - no rangefinding (parallex focusing) and same power to be used on scopes for total competition. Details can be found on UKAHFT website www.ukahft.org.uk. Generally about 200 competitors at each competition and next 2 taking place in early August already fully booked.

In last 2 competitions for which full results published  SS scope was fitted to 9 of 34 and 7 of 38 of top places balance of guns being fitted with mixture of scopes from Burris, Bushnell, Bausch & Lomb, Nikko, Simmons, Weaver, Leuopold, Nightforce, IOR and a couple of English names. As far as the  rifles used are concerned there is one gun that stands out, which is the Daystate which took 50% of the top places, mainly their MK3 with the electronic trigger.

You are lucky your side of pond as over here gun kit very expensive about double. For example SS 10X42M retails for £354.99. Some of us over here used to order direct from States but now finding it almost impossible as retailers for some reason will not supply here even when they do so to some other overseas countries. If go direct to manufacturer like BKL for scope mounts they now just refer you to their authorised agent who charge £83 against $70.

Good shooting,

Paul
