that many rounds you are asking for trouble with a lot of thin barreled rifles no matter what your shooting. the  .243wssm and the .223wssm would be way worse.

 I'd look ito some rebarrel / different chamberings options. It would depend if you want to spend the $ or not.

Swap out the scope.   It might not be the rifle.

.............check the mounts. If the bases are loose you could have a scatter gun.
I had a .260 that consistently shot 2" groups @ 100 yds. I checked the bases and one of the rear screws was broke. I went to sub-1" after repair.
