I am selling one of my K31's. It is in fairly good condition considering most of these rifles are beaten up and often have a lot of water damage. The metal is in roughly 70-80% condition I would say. it shoots well and currently has a scope mounted on it with the Swiss products clamp on mount. The caliber itself is excellent for whitetails with ballistics very similar to those of a .308 Win. Surplus ammo is virtually match grade and can still be had for roughly 50-60 cents a round so target shooting is pretty cheap. For hunting, a variety of companies load factory ammo for this caliber including norma, wolf, prvi partisan, and hornady to name a few. Truly a unique piece and a lot of fun to mess around with at the range.

I am asking 300 for the rifle by itself. There was a time when these were very cheap, but it seems those days are over. You can find one cheaper if you look around at the various surplus sites, but the rifles I have seen going for around 225 to 250 are typically very chewed up and have beech stocks instead of the nicer walnut variation like this one. If you would like the clamp on mount and/or the centerpoint 3x9x32 that are mounted on it we can negotiate a price. I believe the mount retails for somewhere around 90 dollars by the time shipping is done (this is the steel one), and the scope was about 50 bucks. I am willing to part with the entire setup for 425 shipped and insured. If you have any questions or would like to see additional photos please feel free to PM me with you query.

I forgot to mention that it has all matching serial numbers, and I believe it is from either 1943 or 1944, I will check if it makes a difference. A really unique and fun battlerifle from the era of full length wooden stocks and iron sites...I wouldn't be selling her if I didn't have more Big Grin

I'm the lucky dude who bought this rifle, and I just wanted to take a minute to thank Michael for a great transaction.  The rifle is exactly as described, and Michael was a real pleasure to deal with in every respect.

This is going to be a favorite in my collection, no doubt!

Thanks for the kind words Todd.

I am sure you will enjoy the rifle as well. They are very unique and extremely fun to shoot. I shoot Prvi Partisan softpoints in all of mine when hunting and GP-11 Swiss surplus if I'm just target shooting.

Todd, please let me know how you do at the range. My experience with that rifle and K-31's in general has been very good accuracy-wise. I believe the last time I had your new rifle out I shot a few groups right around .8 with a cheapy Centerpoint scope on top, not bad for an old military workhorse made in the mid-40's. I look forward to hearing about some range-time.

Best regards,
Michael

I remember the thread we going back and forth regarding how you were going to mount up the scope.
 K-31s are wonderful rifles.
You'll really enjoy it, Todd.
