Hello, i'm new on the forum.

I discover it while i was trying to find review about Sightron scope.

I own a 6x42HBRD since 2 weeks. I put it on a 22H for 50yards range.

Quite good, i prefer a good 6x over a weaker 3-9x (for the same price).

I'm not sure that the 720° AO help a lot !.

We use a Sightron 36x for 22lr benchrest...........

Purchased 2003

Some from this era had issues with springs in the adjustments.....only the 36x's scopes l think.........l also recieved a bad replacement.........but 3rd scope is fine and has had many thousands of rounds fired with it mounted

Sightron were good about replacements......just took time as i'm in Australia......  waiting for new shipments of scopes to Sightron and shipping back and forth.

My Daughter has won 2 State B/R junior Championship titles with this Sightron in 2004 (12yo at the time) & 2005 and is usually in the top bunch in the Adult section as well.....

So Sightrons work fine for us

And yes she often beats me!

This is just my opinion!

I don’t see what is so great about Sightron scopes other than they have very nice glass.

I have hade a 4-16X44 Sightron with silver finish and target knobs for about 6 years, it was originally bought for my Ruger stainless all weather rifle in 22.250 .

That gun would only hold about 2 moa, later I put it on my new Rem-700 VS in 22.250 and I started to see that the scope was shifting from its zero after each shot, I replaced it with a BSA 8-32X44 platinum that worked very well for about 4 years. The Sightron sits on my Ruger 10/22 now ware it does very well .

The glass is very good.

The reticule would not hold zero on a varmint rifle.

The target knobs are a lot like Tascos- feel and sound bad.

When I would go camping and it would freeze the scope would get this big fog spot inside the ocular lens.

I paid almost $400.00 bucks for this scope and I have a Tasco scope that sits on a .308 that has outperformed the Sightron from the day I bought it for $70.00 .

I have had a chance to look through Sightron SIII 10X42 binoculars and they were very nice.

I would not buy a Sightron for serious shooting unless they make some big changes to their scopes.

What a great hobby!
