Well, I didn't see too much posted on tripods. I bought a Vortex STX and the 322 ball head. I like them a LOT. It's kind of a heavy combination but is rock solid. For the money, I'm pretty darned pleased. I had to modify my Swarovski balance rail foot to fit the Vortex/Monfrotto head but it fits very well now. I'm one happy camper.
