What is the practical difference between the Leupy Mark 4 PR series and LR series. I'm looking at the 4.5 - 14 and like the smaller obj on the PR but don't want to sacrafice durability.

LR model has a 50mm objective, side focus parallax adjustment, 30mm tube and the M1 style knobs.

PR model has a 40mm objective, side focus parallax adjustment, 30mm tube and the standard target knobs.

So basically you gain a large objective and better windage and elevation adjustments for $200.

Thanks for the rapid response. As far as toughness, durability, etc. are they the same scope? Also given both are 30mm do they share the same amount of adjustments in elevation and windage? LAstly can M1 knobs be put on the PR. What it boils down to is I own and trust what are now the LR/T models (Old Vari-X III LR) but hate the 50mm obj on the LR/T 4.5 X 14. In a tactical application (play hard work hard) will the PR stand up like the LR/T if I can upgrade the knobs?

The only part that is more durable would be the adjustment knobs.  The M1's are more heavy duty and have a little shroud around the bottom.  The M1 LRT 4.5-14x50 has 75 moa elevation and 70 moa windage.  The PR 4.5-14x40 has 95 moa elevation and 95 moa windage.  M1 knobs can be put on a PR but not by Leupold, you would have to send your scope to Premier Reticles.

Thanks again for your help. WHen Leupy changed all their stuff this year it threw me for a loop. Sounds like to get what I want I'd be best serve to get a PR and sent it to Premier. Thanks.
