Looking for scope suggestions for a T/C Omega .50 caliber.  Mostly woods shots at under 100 yards but do have a few clear cuts that offer longer range.  Not too sure about the Nikon Omega and its BDC reticle.

Well my budget was up to $350 or so.  However I just received a Sightron SII 3-9x42 in a trade that looks really good.  Think I will give it a try.

Good scope ..I have 2 Encores that wear Leupold 2.5-8's and they have proven bullet proof.. My 50 cal Omega wears an out of production Bushnell 1.5-6 4200 Elite, and if it were still made , I would probably swop out one of the Leupolds and install it . I like the magnification range, finding it ideal for the bow range shot or out to 200 yd.s . You mentioned the Nikon Omega-- not a fan .. There's better glass out there, and the BDC doesn't work unless on 9X, and you indicated shots are under 100 YD.s ..( would be better served with a top end of 5-7X and gain a wider field of view)
