Which is of higher quality in 10x42 Roof Prism configuration? Is Docter really more comparable with Zeiss and Swarovski than Kahles? I would be purchasing the Docters sight unseen (haven't found anyone in TX who carries the brand). A buddy of mine out west raves about the Docters and the price is close to the Kahles. I like the Kahles OK but they are obviously second tier and the Docters would allow me to buy a supposedly higher quality bino for the same money. I really want a reasonably priced set of european binos and other than Steiners I don't know of any others in this price range. Incidentally, I found the Kahles to be much better than Steiner Merlins, Predators and Peregines (at least to my eyes). Thanks for your help.

We just finished working out a deal with Docter and will be adding stocking them soon. The only chance I have had to look at a set was in our conference room, so I really can't say yet how they compare in real life to other brands. From what I know about them, I would say they are at minimum Kahles quality. Once we get them on the shelf I will have means to better answer. We also added some of their riflescopes too. |
