I know with mil-specs and all headspacing isn't that much an issue but would use see a problem using the same bolt on two different barrels? example. could I take the bolt and CH out an existing AR and put it in another upper that doesn't have a bolt or charging handle and expect it to be fine and not have issues with headspacing or anything else? Theoretically if the bolt does not have many rounds in the other barrel it would probably be fine. I have done that and had zero problems. But I do not change it back and forth it was just a on time thing. But I did check the head space with a field gauge. I would still recommend checking it before you make the switch.
