That is why I use the tracer nocks.  turn on when they pass the magnet and then flash after 15 seconds.  No chance of them getting turned off unless the animal is hiding a magnet.

Reflective tape is a good idea.  Maybe they should make some of those blaze vanes with it.

After loosing a couple of the illuminated ones I switched to the reflective tape by the fletchings. Any reflective tape will work.  And to recover the arrow wait till well after dark and hit the area with a good flashlight and it will reflect so long as it is not all the way under ground.

The reflective tape works really well. We've started stocking the lighted nocks and have found that the "Nockturnal" brand is a real good choice compared to others. They aren't quite as expensive and so far they last much longer than advertised. One customer let one stay on to see how long it would last. Said it went 9 days before it was to weak to see at 20 yds. Don't know if they all will do that but thats pretty good battery life. The are easy to turn off and red or green they are super bright. I will use them this yr. mainly because my arrows cost so darn much. Gold tips pro hunters with reflective wraps, feathers and Rage broadheads. Not something you wnat to chance loosing. Plus if it doesn't pass thru it should help big time finding the deer. The possibility of being able to recharge is great. Wonder if one of those external chargers would work. Anybody got one they could try?

just remember tho if your using these "lighted nock" that Pope & Young  or Boone & Crockett Club will not allow them to be entered  into the record books. just a little FYI.
I wasn't upset about the black cat crossing my path this morning but mouthing "your fu@#ed" as he passed was just rude.

If Guns kill people mine are all defective

Anyone know if luminocks are legal to use for hunting in idaho?  Going to do a spring bear hunt there and would like to give them a try.
