Has anyone used the 150g in 308? How was the performance on game?
I had bought some of the factory loads and my rifle hated them. It was shooting about 1 1/4 in average. So I never went through the trouble to hand load them. I had purchased a box of bullets at that time and set them on the shelf. Well, I recently went to that old box and decided to load them up. I was getting ready to go shoot some steel and a little fodder would not be a bad thing. To my amazement when I was shooting a little paper zeroing in I got the best groups of my life. They are not as cheep as my SMK I normally shoot with, but if I can shoot the same for target and hunting that is a big bonus. I am a firm believer in shoot your hunting loads enough to be confident in them and know where it will land. |

I haven't used them in .308, but I've used them quite a bit in .243 (95gr). My Savage isn't particularly happy with the "ready-mades," but really likes them in my reloads. I don't think there is a significant advantage over the standard Nosler Ballistic Tip which run a bit cheaper.
