Anyone own or tried one of these? Im wondering if it will take the recoil of a T/C Contender in 45-70. I dont use full power loads but the recoil, even with a muzzle brake is brutal. Ive already broken an el cheapo scope with it.

I have a raging bull .454 Casull and I'm gonna go with this one . I saw an article a while back by Sherriff Jim Wilson strongly recommending Weaver for high power handguns . The clincher was that the one pictured was mounted on my exact revolver . Don't have it yet , but I'll let you know . My only minor concern is holding off-hand , whether too much wobble at the 4X .

I don't have personal experience with this scope, but I think your on the right track by choosing a fixed power scope.
