I have never bought a rangefinder but would really like to get one for various reasons. The biggest being bow hunting. I really do not need the arc stuff because of the price. i was looking at the leopold 740tbr but i just cant spend 250 for it. I was looking at the Nikon 550, Bushnell sport 600, or leupold rx600? which one and why would be great. Mainly short distances and was looking at shooting max 500 yards rifle. Thanks

I would stay away from Leupold Rangefinders.  Look at the Bushnell series for reasonable prices and good performance.
