The Minox scopes are really light weight for their rated magnification, etc. Where did it go? Thinner tubes? I'm concerned that the reduced weight equals reduced ruggedness.

Leupold scopes are really light too and I dont think anyone questions their durability.

True, but a Leupold 2.5-10x45 is 7oz heavier than the Minox 3-15x42. Just seems that if making scopes this light is a good idea then all of the major manufacturers would do it. I love the weight of the Minox for many reasons. Less stress on the scope during recoil being one. I'm just wondering if something was sacrificed to get the weight down. I wasn't even thinking about it this much until I received a defective ZA-5. Now I'm paranoid The best signature I've seen on here is the one that reads something like "a lifetime warranty and great customers service doesn't mean anything if your gun fails during a zombie attack." Truer words have never been spoken!
