Brief update:

Pro:
Rangefinder works awesome! SUPERIOR to my Leupold RX-II

Negative:
...LED display washes out in bright sunshine (even at max power setting)
The binoculars are so so, my Nikon Monarch 8.5-56 blow them away, MUCH easier sight picture to obtain, better resolution, significantly brighter in low light

If I were to buy these for the Binos I would have been very disappointed and sent them back.

For a combo setup they are pretty good, but I would not want to glass much with them.

I am very impressed with the rangefinder though.,
My Leupold RX-II is so flaky I want to smash it with a hammer sometimes..

Guess I won't be getting these... Now I just  gotta figure out how to convince the wife the $2500.00 for Bino's (Geovids) is not unreasonable.
We measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a crayon, and cut it with a chainsaw.

Just get a Leica ranger finder as it's about 7 oz. I think. It's small and very easy to use. My friend has the Leica bino's like you talked about. They are heavy and having them all in one is a good idea, but there are trade offs.Smile

i had the Bushnell Elite 1500, Leica 1200, Leupold RX-1000i , and Bushnell Fusion 1600

best display for ease of use and visibility goes to the Leupold

i use them for ground hog hunting, so they need to read off a grass field or bush or tree line.

the Leupold died at 6 to 700y
the Bushnell Elite 1500, i could range buildings at 1200, trees at 900 or less, grass hills at 800
the Leica 1200 i could get better readings on grass from 800 to 900, but building i was lucky to get 1k
the Bushnell Fusion 1600 is a monster.. i have ranged trees at 1800+ bush's at 1700
+ and grass hills at 1700+ .. the display does suck in bright light, but as for range for the $$$, nothing will come close...
