I'm thinking of trying this scope on a 223, is this a true 30mm scope? with the 42mm retical how is the lowlight performance? Would it compare or be better than a Zeiss conquest 4.5x14 if it was set at 10x? Thanks for the help-Ron

For a fixed tactical scope this is the way to go.  If you are looking at targets any closer than 50-75yrds they might get a little blurry.  The Super Sniper was made for targets 100-1000yrds+.  For the money I don't think you can find a better tactical scope.  If you don't know the history on the SS then you should look it up.

As for the rest of your technical questions Chris or one of the other SWFA Staff members could answer that better than I could.

Yes it is a true 30mm scope.  10x42 gives you a 4.2mm exit pupil that is descent for low light use.  The Zeiss would be a little brighter with its 44mm objecitve and better coatings.

the super sniper is one awesome scope. it gives you more bang for your buck than any other tactical scope. and they work pretty nice in low light.

I agree the SS scopes offer a great deal features for the money!! I have 3 SS Scopes they are mounted on a Remington 700 PSS 308 cal, a Savage 10FP 223 cal, and a Springfield M1A.
