I have an AR15 that I use mainly at 100 yard shooting. I would like to buy a scope that will not completely impoverish me but still be good enough to increase range to 200 or 300 yard ranges. Any ideas on models or brands would be helpful :)

I just put a Weaver Grand Slam 6-20X40.  I love it.  It's the Target/Varminter in the Grand Slam line. The 6-20x40mm has an offset parallax indicator and adjustment dials with low profile target-style finger controls and move at 1/8 minute of angle adjustments.  This is a very clear and bright scope.  It will be good for shooting targets from 15yrd - 300yrds+

The 20X is also very useful.  At 100yrds I could zoom up and actually see were my grouping was.

If you are not interested in shooting under 100yrds then I would take a look at the Super Sniper 10X42.  It's a good price for a high quality scope.

Here is my Bushmaster Varminter with the Grand Slam.

the super sniper is a great suggestion, but for under 100 yards it might be a litttle hard to find your target in the scope. those things are also built liek a tank.
