I am new to long range shooting. I am not a "shooter" but instead am preparing for a TEOTWAWKI/SHTF scenario that I am convinced is approaching. Whether or not my concerns are valid, I still need to know the answer to my question - i.e. I might be a stone wacko but my question is still valid.
How many clicks on a lower end ($300) SWFA SS Tactical scope equal 1 MOA? I've been reading online and find that some scopes are 4 clicks/MOA, some 8 and some 16. The material on SWFA's site says 1/4 MOA for the lower end scopes. I would interpret that to mean that each click is 1/4 MOA. The higher end pretty much all indicate .1 Mrad (which I interpret to mean .1 milli-radians). Please clear this up for me. BTW, I respect the hell out of real snipers. Guys producing 1" across patterns @ 400 yards and well beyond amaze me. Without magnification I can barely SEE the detail of a target at 100 yards any more. Thank you for your time. Cyborg Bill

You are correct in what you read about the scopes.
1/4 MOA per turn or 4 clicks per MOA.
