im looking for a mildot scope for my ar-15. this will be my first mil dot scope. i do alot of target shooting and some varmint hunting. i was looking at the swfa 10x42 ss for 300.00. is this a good scope for the money. dont have a 1000.00 to spend on a scope. i have some expensive optics on my other guns. i have heard good things about them. what do you think. thanks

Very good value, I like mine. I've used it for a lot of target shooting and a few ground hogs.

I wasn't upset about the black cat crossing my path this morning but mouthing "your fu@#ed" as he passed was just rude.

thanks for the input. ive never really used a high quality scope. the best i have is a vari x 3 leupy on my custom 300 ultra mag but this gun is a tack driver my groups touch at 100 yards. just have not had time to shoot any farther. my ar-15 is a 6x45 with a 18 inch barrel. i reload for it. never used a fixed power scope. need to get input here before i buy. thanks

the SS fixed 10 would be a great scope but the fixed 6 or the 3x9 would also be good scope. the SS 3x9 is a little more tho.

can't go wrong with it other than being a fixed 10, might want to think about the 6x

If $300 is the top end on your budget I would second the look at the 6x ... better field of view for those varmints ...
If you can increase your budget a little the 3-9 FFP kit is a steal of a deal ... and the BoBro Mount is outstanding ...
