I would try some 175s or 178s. That 1-10 should shoot them very well. Plus they will buck the wind better and give u more stability at longer distances.

I'm pretty much a Savage guy. My 1st was a pre-accusctock 110 in 270Win. Those synthetics have a lot of flex in the forestock but mine still shot 3/4"@100 out of the box. My last is the new long range hunter in 300WM with the Accutrigger and accustock, break and adj Cheek. Big difference between the two stocks! The LRH was about 5/8" OTB by the way. I love the accutrigger too! I say if your not going to hunt with yours, leave the barrel alone. But, it's your rifle! Do what floats your boat and have fun!
