I'm new to the business of selecting scopes for long range target shooting.  I am looking at the big Sightron and really like it, but I was told it uses a two piece tube.  I don't know if that is an issue or not.  I want to make it clear I am not in any way trying to be critical of the product.  I just want to know if it IS a two piece tube, and if so, does anybody think this might cause any problems.  Is this a good thing, or a bad thing, or does it make any difference?  I assume Sightron does not think it's an issue as they offer a lifetime warantee.

I do know that one held up to the rigors of a 50 BMG at the world championship of the FCSA and received a good review in threir magazine the VHP, so it had seen more rounds befote the championship event for the magazine article

Thanks for the feed back.  It doesn't sound like there can be much of a problem with it, certainly not on a 223 or 6mmBR.  The company also offers a life time warrentee.  True, some warentees are not worth the paper they are written on, but from what I have heard Sightron stands behind their product 100%.

Why dont you stay with something like a 6-24 or a 5-20 or 4-16 those are a lot more plesant to work with.
