I just got home from another 3 weeks on the road working and mounted my new SS 5-20! Range report and pics later this afternoon...
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Very cool Billy.  I dare bet you are going to enjoy that one.  Excellent

Well the nice calm morning I awoke too turned into 30-40 mph gusts...swirling every which way! So the range report is going to have to wait. I will get some pics loaded up here in a bit.

As a side note, the bad thing about not having a dedicated shooting facility(vs. miles and miles of desert) is not having a target stand capable of holding anything in a sand storm. I believe that I got real close to zero'd, but the target was flapping so much that it was very difficult to tell... Anyway enough whining! Pics up soon!

The SS F******* ROCKS! Hands down the best scope I have ever owned! (Not saying much) But really does kick ass. I have heard that the eye box gets tight at above 17x, and I went to the range looking for it, but for me at least it wasn't a problem. The reticle and diopter adjustments were very simple. The side focus started very tight, but after a few seconds of turning back and forth from stop to stop, it loosened up well. The turrets are simply the best I have ever used. Hands down, very impressed with this scope!

Nice.  Now you just need a day with less wind to go have some fun and stretch it out.

An IOR 20 minute rail and Badger standard rings. The rail is new too.

Went and shot my first comp with this scope, yesterday. The scope performed well, and did everything I told it to...I still need to work on my wind doping, and driving the rifle. The wind was really whipping, so much that a 5 mil wind hold was not enough at a 1082 yard target. The average shot was right about 700 yards, all from field improved forms of prone. This is the web site and has some really good pictures.
