Anyone know about them? Or better still the paperwork that came with them? I have the 3-12x56 SN reticle Matte finish.
What`s the history on this scope? What are they calibrated for 308? I know, too many questions |

dusty61,
I have the paper that tells all about the specs and retical on this scope, however I dont have a scanner that works. I'll try to give you as much info. as possible.
1/4 minute clicks 30mm tube actual magnification 2.9x11.7 exit pupil in mm 3x-15.2 12x-6.1 field of view feet @ 100 yds 3x-25' 12x-9' eye relief 3-3.5" overall length 15.4" outside diameter of the objective 2.650" or 67mm objective unrestricted diameter 2.204 or 56mm outside diameter of eyepiece 1.550" weight 23ounces maximum internal adjustment 44 inches
A B ICI B A Now I will try to descibe the retical measurments: I------I------O-----I-----I o IDI
@3x distance between stadia marked B= 16" @ 100yds C = 6 3/4" @ 100 yds
@12x A = 16" @ 100 yds C= 2" @ 100 yds
@3x D= 6 3/4 @ 200 yds
@12x D= 2" @ 200 yds
This is all the info. that has ever been available for these scopes. They do not have a bullet drop compensator so they will work for any caliber just as a normal scope. They have great optics and gather alot of light. They are great law enforcement scopes, however they are limited to this field due to their limited range finding abilities. The center of the retical does not have a crosshair, only an open circle so it makes it a little tuff to group with them as you do not have a definate aiming point. All in all the optics are superb and if they fit your use, cannot be beat. They were USA made scopes, when redfield built good scopes. I hope this info. is helpful and if you have questions post a reply and I'll help all I can. |
