Bought new TC Omega Dream Season, Zeiss Conquest, and Talley one piece to put it all together. Even a gunsmith can"t mount it without sliding the scope all the way back. I only have full reticle when I push muzzie away from my shoulder. What's up with that?

What conquest is it?  Can you get a measurement from the scope to your eye when you can actually see through it?  also a picture of how its mounted would be helpful.  You can email me a photo and I can post it for you if needed.  PM me if you want to.

Under most conditions I like Talley one piece ringmounts.  Unfortunately it sounds like you need more ability to adjust scope position than the mounted one piece ringmount will allow. On my Encore I used this Plus 20 MOA base and there are a number of makes of picatinny type rings that will work the least expensive ones that work are the Warne rings. The Talleys,  Badger Ordnance, Seekins, TPS and a bunch more will all work with this base and allow more range of adjusting scope placement.

If you know you dont need the angled base for long range work they do make a flat one.
